This was painted on location at Sister Bay Waterfront Park, in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, during the 2011 Door County Plein Air Festival. It was 100 degrees by the time I finished this in the afternoon...the third day in a row we had been painting in 90+ degree weather. I wiped this one off twice before finally being happy with this one...third time's a charm! I really loved the red door on the back of this Norweigian cafe, the light on the roof decoration and the lovely light and shadows on the building and the foreground. A bonus: I was able to stand in the shade to paint!
