This was painted on Day 1 of the "Where in the World Is" Plein Air 2015 event, June 10, 2015 with my "Yes, This is Nebraska" project in mind. I painted it on location near Plattsmouth, Nebraska, at the confluence of the Missouri and Platte Rivers. This is a historic site...a campsite of Lewis and Clark in 1804. Later on the day I painted this, big thunderstorms rolled through and flooded the area!
