This painting was done on location in a canyon near Jackson, Wyoming. I was attracted to the beautiful golds and oranges of the fall foliage contrasting against the gray/blues of the stream...complementary colors occuring in nature. Square compositions can be a challenge, but this scene lent itself well to that. I was really pleased with the results.
