Oops...
So much trying to be efficient! In my excitement to share all the latest studio/gallery news yesterday, I blew it...I neglected to include the 2019 Nebraska Biennial Juried Exhibition in the list of events...so sorry to make you open another email!
The painting above, "Dreams of a Princess" was painted from reference photos I took of my granddaughter while she was sleeping. She is almost 10 now and just informed me that she still has the blanket in the painting...and still sleeps with it despite it being full of holes now. So sweet...
You can view this piece as part of the 2019 Nebraska Biennial at Gallery 1516, located at 1516 Leavenworth in Omaha, Nebraska. It was a thrill to be juried into this exhibition, which features the work of 100 of Nebraska's best artists, working in 8 different categories. You are encouraged to celebrate Nebraska arts and artists at the 2019 Biennial! Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. The exhibition runs through August 4th. For more information visit https://www.gallery1516.org/current-exhibition
And just one last quick reminder...if you're free tonight, join us (myself, Katrina Methot-Swanson, Lisa Worrall and Judith Anthony Johnson) for an Artist Talk at Ginger's Hangup in Omaha, 5:30 to 8pm, 8455 Frederick St. Hope to see you there!
Warmest wishes,
Debra
